been having thoughts about bag quest
i think it would be particularly onerous to require the user to have to define each bag. i would like to prioritise actually playing the game.
to this end i may just RNG different distributions of the various items among the 10 different bags that you can have.
the problem with this particular course of action is that it leads to undefined behaviour--you simply won't know which bag you will be able to go into from which previous bag
I've finally finished up restoring the Osborne 1 enough to put it away. Done:
- Repaired CRT (recapped, reflowed bad solder joints)
- Deep clean of case, keys
- Cleaned bright/contrast pots
- Replaced bad PSU with modern Mean Well
- New cable harnesses for PSU
- Cleaned FDDs
- Filled empty drive bay

i am seemingly still obsessed with 80s microcomputers
especially the commodore 64, which is just such a friendly lil puter
@fkinoshita joy!!
My 6yr old son is building a robot, and asked if I had any circuit boards to put in it! I enjoy that the robot is powered by half an iPhone 6 and a #tangara main board pcb (and a triple a)
We've had a lot of new people join the fediverse over the past week or so, so here's some advice from someone who's been here since 2016:
There's no algorithm. You have to actually work at filling your feed with the content you want to see. What this means is:
FOLLOW PEOPLE. Find folk who look interesting, follow them.
FOLLOW HASHTAGS. Try typing a hashtag relevant to your interests - e.g. Sheep - into the search box. Scroll down to hashtags. Click the Sheep hashtag. Click 'Follow hashtag'.
What is your favourite thing about #Linux?
Could anyone recommend a #crowdfunding platform (similar to Kickstarter or Indiegogo, i.e. one-time fixed-goal crowdfunding campaigns) that is...
* #FreeSoftware,
* made for individuals (i.e. not just nonprofits or collectives), and
* not built on ~shitcoins~ cryptocurrencies and blockchains?

I've been helping classify galaxies on galaxyzoo.org, a couple of thousand so far after a big push a month ago and then a dozen or so each day since then.
I really enjoy that there's a distinct chance I'm the only person ever (or at least one of small group) who's looked at them. Some of my finds below, left for the professionals to actually figure out.

@mhd i somehow always thought the same thing--i think it could be fun?
#common_lisp is a evil hash tag. #Common-Lisp #commonlisp
My web site does not upgrade http to https, so you can visit the site with old browsers. (It does do https, too, but you have to request it.)

On my gravestone, please just mention that I have read every single line of code for the #LispMachine
