You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think. ~winnie-the-pooh

have you ever thought

You definitely will not regret picking up a filthy Compaq sitting in the weeds by the canal

Turns out bitsavers has a fediverse presence:

If you have any interest in permacomputing at all you must spend some time browsing the bitsavers archives, which have been around for over a quarter century. Need to fix that computer from the 70's/80's? The schematics and manuals are almost certainly there.

attempted to print the source to this

https://git.sr.ht/~rabbits/tiny-basic/blob/main/src/basic.tal

but my poor printer's drum unit has been smudged!

will have to go to my political party office to use our printer, so i can make a nice commentary

rebuilding the gemini://search.solarpunk.au/ search engine index rn...

guy in the hackaday comments going off about how HDDs are failure prone because ... the USB mass storage protocol can abort transfers if a new device is plugged in?
okay?
why are you connecting storage via USB?

@vidak Teensy 4.1 would be nice I think.

Also less hot but still interesting for me would be Pi Pico2.

Looking at platforms that support uxn emulation --

Looking quickly, there does not seem to be a completed microcontroller or single board computer implementation, but that is not an issue.

I should have read the store listing for the Pico VGA Terminal on the RC2014 website properly--

There is an updated version called the RP2040 VGA Terminal.

Been thinking it may just be easier to buy the newer fully assembled model, just so the @permacomputer project can move forward with a hardware proof of concept...

Either that or I will attempt to unpick how these resistor ladders work...

Writing code that's maintainable is more important than writing code quickly.

I wanna check out the latest BASIC 10 liner competition winners

BIG NEWS! Our members have voted and it's official: we've adopted a dual leadership model! ๐Ÿ—ณ๏ธโœจ

From now on, every Office Bearer role in the union can be held by two people. And in any shared role, one of them must be a woman or gender-diverse person. This is a direct move to tackle burnout and push back against the patriarchy we see everywhere else.
