Looks like Code Club has finally shed any connection it had to what we started and is well on its way to teaching kids that surveillance is fine, actually.
Good job, Raspberry Pi Foundation/Broadcom, Inc.
(I helped set it up, wrote one of the first lessons in Scratch for the curriculum, and was on the board but resigned, along with one of the co-founders, when the other co-founder courted Google. We’d already had disagreements as we didn’t want Prince Andrew as a patron…) 🤷♂️

I found a bad solder joint and after reflowing it (and every other one on the board while I was at it) and the Osborne CRT seems to be fixed! I love this cute ascii art “self portrait” in the help on the system floppy

In other news, I finally finished shooting the new video I promised some days ago. It’s going to take another day or two to edit and release. Sorry for the delay, I was a bit slower than I anticipated. I didn’t quite brush off the global news as well as I thought and had some sleepless nights and unproductive mood swings. Back on track now. ✊

@vga256 guess what?! 😀
british philosophers seem to be to be completely without awe or reverence for this attitude. every perception is like beholding a mere statue, a copy of an actual object.
where is the full-bloodedness of philosophy these days?
honestly, the degree to which you accept your own cringe-ness is the degree to which you are set free
I've been looking at some "classic" forum software a few weeks ago, mostly centered on the bigger players in the PHP sector (PhpBB, SMF etc.), but noticed recently that there's a plethora of variants of the "Acmlmboard" software (used, apparently, a lot in console game circles).
Anyone have experiences with that?
Bar Tailed Godwit called "234684" by humans is one of the worlds most notrious private binge flyers. At 5 months old, they racked up a non-stop 11 days straight binge private flight from #Alaska to #Tasmania recording 13,560km worth of frequent flier points.
A bird weighing about 500 grams that can neither swim nor glide, relying on constant beating of their wings to stay aloft, can fly almost twice as far as the original jumbo jet, and consumes a few hundred grams of fat to do so.
They also have specially adapted eyes that literally allow them to see the magnetic field of the Earth to guide them, as well as using celestial navigation by the stars at night.
Frikkin binge-flying bird-brains.

An introductory blog series on Lambda calculus between entry and intermediate level. Artyom Bologov @aartaka wrote it after hitting some major learning roadblocks:
"I opened Wikipedia, read through half the page and gave up. It was too terse."
Nothing quite like seeing some AI bullshit in your feed to make you go "why do I even follow that person?" and fix that. 🙃
