Australia's biggest electricity grid in NSW (with the largest amount of coal fired power capacity) reached a new record peak of 95% renewable energy surpassing 10,000 MW for the first time on Friday 8 Nov. 4 out of 12 black coal units were out-of-service for maintenance at the time.

gotta remember that feeling of playing pokemon gold for the first time again

Today is a good day to remember the time I told my Jewish grandmother, who had been an officer in the Red Army all through WWII, about the debate over punching Nazis.

"This is trick question," she said, narrowing her eyes. "When you are done punching, Nazi is still alive, yes?"

we need more sega mega drive RPGs

or even just more sega mega drive games, full stop

@nytpu earthbound is kind of an exception for me, i really like it

i think i finished it on an emulator on my DS haha

if you can get past the simplistic graphics and enjoy the story it is very charming

Should I try playing Earthbound? I've universally hated every JRPG I've ever played (other than Pokémon I guess) for a variety of reasons, but Earthbound seems to be one of those ones that everyone loves and brings up often

Another week has passed.
It's Saturday, at last.
Our weekend, though not vast.
Must be enjoyed. It goes by fast.

Just bought a typewriter.

You can tell it's old because it's got neofetch on it.

I'm typing on a Olympia Traveller de Luxe S. My nails are painted in the colors of the bisexual flag. A photo of the sheet of paper I was typing on in the previous photo. A fake Neofetch output has been painstakingly typed on it:
- The user and the host are root@olympia;
- The OS shows up as Olympia UNIX x86_16;
- Its host is Traveller de Luxe S;
- The uptime is 49 years, 6 months, 18 days, 5 hours, 4 mins
- The resolution is 76 CPL
- The CPU field says Human-Operated machine
- The memory is Paper-Based

i love the fedi

i forget how the jupiter ace actually did video

i wonder what the best solution for video out is now

when you're trying to popularise and make a platform ubiquitous, the price point of the setup is all that matters

yeah, it leads to people buying the console or computer and likely never using it--but they still bought it

the next step is to be vigorous with increasing the quality of your software. cheap and reliable hardware platforms are the most powerful and ubiquitous.

i should look up some info regarding how useful 128K of FORTH words in ROM would be...

i am lead to believe FORTH is very economical with RAM and can usually relegate much of its system to ROM?

i wish i had more time to code
