Windows is the biggest piece of bloat.
Seriously I think maybe all we have to do is get people to install Linux or BSD or whatever and people will just be blown away how much faster it is.
Maybe it is that simple.

Where I'm at is: everybody is solving a slightly different problem. And within that "slightly" lies a chasm.
I don't understand people, and I can't influence others. I can control only myself.
@akkartik I dunno I was just watching this Xbox have A Laggy Time recently, and I had never seen Debian do anything like that before. I've never seen a thing choke up and need to restart like that Xbox.

@akkartik I kinda live this weird life of tech ascendance where I could easily de-Microgunk my life and go full hermit at any time--and I did for many years.
But there is something to be said for living around others.
Anyway I think I am getting the better deal out of this one--I got this hunk of junk for AUD$170 second hand and sank thousands of hours into it with my partner last year alone.
I am trying to figure out an affordable way to replace it soon. I am thinking of getting a PC and putting steam on it, and plugging that into my TV. It will work with the controllers I already have.
@vidak One difference: I'm not a gamer. Makes certain kinds of temptations easier to avoid, but also denies me a whole region of human experience..
