(A Medium Publication is like a magazine hosted by medium, which can, like my writing, be free to read). (However, it requires at least one person have 100 Medium Followers to register a medium zine).

i would not necessarily choose medium as the newsletter/magazine platform--but building a publication with a large following is a good idea right now

I get the medium-is-a-web-silo feel, though one can write there freely and as they describe it the voluntary subscription accounts pay for them to delete ten million LLM generated spam stories a month.
