after a month of studying japanese everyday, i now know about 400 words and can understand probably 5% (probably less) of spoken conversations
way better than i expected!
Looks like Code Club has finally shed any connection it had to what we started and is well on its way to teaching kids that surveillance is fine, actually.

(I helped set it up, wrote one of the first lessons in Scratch for the curriculum, and was on the board but resigned, along with one of the co-founders, when the other co-founder courted Google. We’d already had disagreements as we didn’t want Prince Andrew as a patron…) 🤷♂️
I found a bad solder joint and after reflowing it (and every other one on the board while I was at it) and the Osborne CRT seems to be fixed! I love this cute ascii art “self portrait” in the help on the system floppy
In other news, I finally finished shooting the new video I promised some days ago. It’s going to take another day or two to edit and release. Sorry for the delay, I was a bit slower than I anticipated. I didn’t quite brush off the global news as well as I thought and had some sleepless nights and unproductive mood swings. Back on track now. ✊
