i should get back into 6502 assembly

i miss coding for the atari 2600

In terms of resilience, I'm a human B-17. The kind of plane that could get hit by a thousand rounds of machine gun fire, lose an engine and its tail rudder and still make it back across the North Sea somehow

Hey guys here's my fully spec-compliant ActivityPub implementation:

int main(void) {
return 0;
}

Reminder: Libreboot machines heavily discounted:

I'm Libreboot's founder and lead developer. Sales fund Libreboot. Libreboot (preinstalled) is free/opensource firmware replacing proprietary BIOS/UEFI.

New stable Libreboot release coming soon, by November 15th.

Your choice of Debian Linux, other distro or BSD.

Libreboot 9020 price further reduced; was £218, then 138, now 118. I'll discontinue the 9020 next week and will launch new, better products. All 9020's must go!

Whelp. I just deactivated my 3000+ follower account on Xitter. I'd been trying to give people time to switch, but I'm done.
Anybody wanna follow a poor ttrpg creator who's trying to do this for a living?

we gotta move these

evaluators!

we gotta move these

lisp machiiiiines!

it would be very nice to do things in emacs that others find useful

i wanna make a cool lil roguelike in lisp

probably emacs lisp

i had this idea (maybe last year?) to make a 1 dimensional dungeon crawler, i.e. you could only move left and right on, say, an emacs message bar

there is also that patchset for bash that makes it like a dungeon crawler?

I think i stumbled on the next billion dollar idea: AI bots to play video games for you. Playing video games can be mentally taxing - wouldn’t it be nice to offload that work to AI so you can do other things, like get a 3rd job to help pay for my game playing AI bot?

Microsoft are effectively giving up on Copilot Pro subscription ($20/month) as almost nobody paid for it.

Instead they are bundling it into Microsoft 365 consumer subscriptions and inflating the renewal prices there. There’s no opt out.

Effectively allows the Copilot revenue and user numbers to be inflated.

fail faster, fail better

being a political hermit seems further and further a real possibility for me in the future

i will perfect a mysterious thousand-yard stare for when people ask me about my political convictions

i miss the days when it seemed like dialectical materialism was a real force in politics. i am a student of marx, hegel, and so many more... all lost to time.

mixed into a melange of sentences in a freshman's textbook: "socialism is many things..."

so very tired all the time

why do i carry the world's problems on my shoulders

George Monbiot says: "Trashing the planet and hiding the money isn’t a perversion of capitalism – it *is* capitalism."

Illustration of a white man in a business suit dancing in a cut-down forest, throwing money into the air, while behind him smokestacks from factories spew pollution into the sky.

now, more than ever, i am determined to live, and live well.

i will say kind things to myself, and let myself rest as much as i need.

i am seeing what i know for certain to be absolutely garbage analysis of this election, writ large on the internet.

my take is that it's a redo of trump's voter suppression tactics from 2016--i.e. people who would have otherwise turned out for harris did not.

presumably because they had unwittingly seen some trump propaganda against harris.

honestly, the fact that trump got convicted before the election probably was intended to destroy him. apart from the fact that it was somehow conveniently forgotten that all press is good press.

i dunno look at the fall of the roman empire. before julius caesar there was general sulla in his own civil war. sulla and caesar both hated the plebians but were populists for the disenfranchised in their own uniquely tyrannical way.

it is my considered opinion that the solution to the problem, if it is given that the USA should solve its problems by voting, is to make voting compulsory, as it is here in australia.

americans seem resolute never to be forced to vote, so many who otherwise would have voted for harris did not.

fuck it i'm starting my new programming language project
