I would like to have a project (personal or otherwise) where a reasonable choice of language would be one of:
- Fortran
- Elixir
- COBOL
- Ada
Out of these, Elixir seems to be the most likely. But I really would like a reason to actually learn Fortran or Ada.

Don't suppress your anger, kids. People like me are what you get from trying to build a life around suppressed anger. Don't be like me.
After so many months I finally rode one of the new Perth trains! They make way too many noises, also the internal has the buffeting problem some local buses have.
It's probably not rigid enough?
The interior looks nice though and feels kind of futuristic with the panelling
I forgot the author/title of that book where the author's idea is that there are many halting-problem-like unproveable features in computer programming. Do you know it? Lisp book lists?
"There are so many books I have to read," the first ghost said. "I haunt the library."
"I haunt an apartment complex," the second said. "For films and TV shows."
They turned to the third ghost. "What's your unfinished business?"
"An internet argument."
"Dude, let it go."

When I was a kid everyone told me I was lazy and that was bad. As an adult I understand that I am pretty fucking far from being lazy, I’ve just also always understood that 90% of strategy is deciding what not to do.
Unless you interpret “laziness” as “willingness to disobey orders,” which many people do. If that’s the case then fuck yeah, I’m lazy as hell
Someone implemented a way to run #uxn in a minecraft cube, and they're running Felix's UF #Forth in it.

when climate activists block bridges or freeways we go to prison
when the roads are blocked by huge storms, that's not climate change induced by the capitalist ruling class and their continued use of fossil fuels...
...nope!
i had forced myself to learn C, python and several other languages but none of them inspired me and sparked as much transformative joy as common lisp
lisp changed my life forever for the better
Me without a wiki engine: "I have so many ideas. I should write a wiki engine so I can start capturing them!"
Me with a wiki engine: "None of my ideas are worth capturing. 😐"
