What does a clock do when it's hungry? It goes back four seconds!

Absolutely mind-boggling that of all the new source code forges being made, all but one (1) maintains github's firmly locked 1:1 correlation between a “project”, “source code repository”, and “issue tracker”—the latter of which is really “general support channel” rather than an actual bug tracker since there's no other option for a general support channel integrated into the forge.

Seriously, this is the sole reason I use Sourcehut (I'm not really all-in on the email workflow although I don't mind it).

Anybody sell merch/shirts in AUS?. My charity is looking to sell shirts at PAXAUS and we've tested a few places to print out logo

AND THEY'RE ALL HOT TRASH. Anybody got a high quality local vendor?

I've heard good things about https://www.machinescreenprinters.com.au/ so they're up next for a sample.

human! please drink some fluids. thank you from a robot who loves you.

Looking for for . I would like one with ad blocking and the ability to watch videos such as youtube videos in fullscreen and with captions enabled.

What would interest me, at a later date, when Sentinel 65X is out there being used or ignored (hey, I can only make it available, it’s not up to me if it gets used!) would be potentially piecing together a preconfigured SD card image file with a very fancy “bells and whistles” CP/M installation on it. Something with a lot of stuff to play with, which has been documented; if I get around to it, maybe something that can update itself over the Internet using a wifi modem.

My first step in my journey is complete - got the X68000 Pro I got at VCFMW from @thegirlg33k to actually see and then boot from a @BlueSCSI V2. Next step, more RAM. I'll probably make a GALSPanic board for that, then do a redesign of the Midiori MIDI board to make it easier to manufacture. Then hopefully design an RP2350 based board!

An open computer case, but not much of the internals are visible since it's blocked by large pieces of metal. There's a blue BlueSCSI PCB sitting on top connected to the computer with a ribbon cable. On the screen is a file selector program.

on driving driving emacs elisp viz a calendar app.

I thought I had another week! I'm not sure if I have to submit in the next ten hours or what.

Anyway I would love some feedback and commentary on how I can get a 20 minutes (why not one hour??)

Thoughts, guidance?

good morning fedi...!

This seems to be about the optimal layout given the front and back panel designs I am working with. This view is from behind and above. Next step is to mark and drill for the power supply.

A disassembled computer in progress

A preview of the tests, broken.

Beginnings of a rudimentary notebook interface for simple calculations.

Two kinds of lines:

- Prose lines are just text, except `[value|name]` renders vertically over two lines as a "named blank" with the name under the underline.

- Code lines are indented (though it's very subtle to see here except for the fractions). Still to do: run them to fill in the blanks.

Inspirations:

Screenshot of a text editor with mostly black text over a white background. There's a cursor visible in red.

The text has two kinds of lines: unindented lines containing brackets of the form [name|value], which causes value to be rendered in a lighter shade vertically centered under name, separated by a line.

Indented lines contain fractions of the form (numerator/denominator), nested to any depth, which causes the numerator to be centered vertically above the denominator, and the '/' to be rendered as a horizontal line separating the two.

Whenever I ask @wryl to help me with my computer.

really happy with my little calendar program on Plan 9, looks so charming! :D

still haven't figured out how to add my ssh keys correctly so can't upload to a remote just yet, if you know how that works please help me out!

Screenshot of my Plan 9 session, the focus is on the centered window, a calendar program displaying the current month.

You know, every time I think about how horrendously inefficient larger companies are and how, despite comparatively nobody doing fucking anything, they still make profit while small companies' employees work their ass off and get nothing, I just

Anger isn't really the right way to describe how I feel about that.

Bafflement? A state of overwhelming confusion and injustice?
