Announcing Spritely office hours! https://spritely.institute/news/announcing-spritely-office-hours.html

If you'd like to discuss or get help with Goblins, Hoot, or anything else in the Spritelyverse, this is a good chance to do so!

It's remarkable how much of social media, with very few exceptions, is still "Usenet, but siloed"

Check it out, Max Bernstein (@tekknolagi) and I have been playing with and putting together a small, 0-dependency cross-platform platform for GUIs. Standing on the shoulders of Fenster[1] and microUI[2], 2KLoC to get pixels on a screen on Linux, Windows or Mac. No SDL.

still thinking about the common lisp tamagotchi

apart from the simple common mini games of up-down, higher-lower, left-right, i want to include a little shop where you can buy foodstuffs and reskin your virtual pet.

bear in mind a lot of this rewrite in common lisp is to make preparation to port to ulisp so i can actually physically realise the lil game.

so i want to be able to fit everything onto a 16x2 LCD character screen. i do not imagine this will be difficult as the pet itself is a one-line emoticon.

@aartaka it's a tamagotchi written in common lisp, this time!

It's incredible how much time people dedicate to getting mad about D&D changes when you can just like homebrew stuff or find another damn system. It's not like a closed source video game or anything

@tonicfunk

please see sr.ht/~vidak/uwu.el for more (:

Commission offer

Would anyone be willing to accept payment to rebuild this web site for my open source project (just the main page, at least for now) to make it look better and better highlight the three main pieces of information that it contains (summary, link to web version and links to downloads)?

https://kapdemo.dhsdevelopments.com/

If so, how much do I need to pay?

@tonicfunk yeah it will have an inventory system and a lil chatbot function inside its shop function

Creating TeleDisk images for a few more copy protected DOS games. Looks like there are some weird sector sizes! Let's hope they will work as intended.
