gonna be 8 years continuously on the fedi in one way or another.

my story is kinda like floating shipwrecked for long stretches, and then swimming my way to safer waters further away from the centre.

i have self-hosted, or been close contacts with someone giving me refuge, ever since leaving @dirtycommo .

my greatest sadness i have lost so many people in the churning mix of the weird pattern of fedi instance instability.

my greatest joy is that i know those who have still survived actually can be trusted. and more. anyone who has sacrificed themselves for this place is now a mythical hacker hero.

this place means so, so much. you saved my life. you gave me money i needed but didn't ask for. you appeared out of nowhere, lurking for years, pleading with me not to do it. you never betrayed me. you showed me actual kindness. you transformed my life. i am going to live because of you.

i am who i am today because of you. i love the fedi unconditionally. i will take all the good and all the bad.
